Anna's Greek Cuisine | Our Story

Welcome to Anna's Wonderful Dream

Anna grew up in a Greek village serving her mother's food at age eight. Everything she learned there — the flavors, the warmth, the care — she brought to Columbus in 1997, and it's still the way she cooks today.

A Village Called Cold Waters

Krioneriti — "Cold Waters" — is a small village on the Greek island of Evoia, and it's where Anna's story begins. Fragrant spices, fresh herbs, neighbors gathered around a table: those early memories became the blueprint for everything that followed.
She Learned at the Table

She Learned at the Table

At just eight years old, Anna was already making coffees and serving her mother's appetizers — not because she had to, but because she loved it. That instinct to feed people well, and to do it from scratch, never left her.

Before Anna's, there was a family gyro place near Ohio State at 11th and North High — her first taste of what feeding a city could feel like. In 1997, she opened her own restaurant on Sawmill Road and said exactly what she meant: "Welcome to my wonderful dream."

Never from a Box

Every dish at Anna's is made from scratch, every day — the avgolemono, the spanakopita, the lamb chops, the baklava. It's the kind of commitment you can taste, and it's the reason guests have been coming back for nearly 30 years.
